The Rabbit in the Moon Foundation was founded in 2000. At the beginning, our works focus on the Khao Krajome Forest of the Baan Pha Pok Kang Kao Community, Suan Phueng District, Ratchburi. The Area is in the west of Thailand. Here, we study the ecological changes of the environment in order to prevent, slow down or fix the primary cause of its ecological problems in accordance with three projects: Study of Nature through Aesthetic Consciousness, Community Job-building, Preventing and Extinguishing Forest Fire.

In addition, through the years of working, the lessons they’ve learned from nature, community and man led to the believe that environment preservation is not the solution. It is only an attempt to fix the symptoms while the true cause of environmental problems is not addressed. As well, everywhere from the rural areas to the cities, all are affected by deteriorating natural environment. Thus, it is crucial to create public awareness through programs such as Kids Eang Program (Kids Themselves) and became Key Camp Program in the year after.



The Foundation aims to instill consciousness about nature in the children that will stay with them through adulthood. We gives environmental education through art, by way of creativity and imagination, allowing the children to experience nature through fun activities that stimulate their hearts and minds through the six senses of sight, sound, smell, taste, touch and feel. The activities help the children to learn about nature without the use of teachers, instead there are mentors from the Foundation. The freshness and mystery of nature make a great let-out for the energy of the children, awaking their senses to what is important in life. So, the Rabbit Zest Program for kids from cities has existed. The camp operates under the “Awaking through Discovery of Nature” motto, covering areas that may not be ‘new’ to the children, but processing them through new angles and perspectives with art and creativity.

Through the six senses, all children who passed our nature learning process will learn how nature can inspire work of art. The children will gain important insights and perspectives in interacting with nature. Moreover, the foundation gives children and youths a chance to experience nature uninterrupted through different perspectives – hence the energy within the children can be utilized to the best and fullest.
In the same time, the Foundation doesn’t limit itself to setting up only in our program. We also work with various organizations to set up nature study programs for children across the country.



Continuously, the youthfulness who is practicing to be workers serving business world should be also sure that they will be not the nature destroyer through their work. Therefore, the appropriate nature learning process for the youthfulness is created. We provide opportunities for them to appreciate the beauty of nature, to reach the truth of the nature and to learn the intractable environment problems. We prepare the space for exchanging and sharing their thoughts and their idea achievement in environment issue with experts as well as among themselves and public. In sighting, thinking, touching and being together with friends and nature deeply will lead them to absorb “the value” in things that may seem ordinary at the first glance. Finally, they are able to set their attitude to become good companion with nature through their work and hopefully they will take the current environmental problems are their own problems too; we called this program as Hatch-U.    
Rabbit in the Moon Foundation gives great importance in instilling a consciousness in the youth through art, as we believe nurturing the seeds in a healthy environment will lead to a rich forest.

The consciousness requires time to plant and nurture, needing food and water for growth.

Objective
To support and encourage children, youth and society realize the importance of looking after nature and environment especially forest and provide chance for people to understand and to live with nature sustainability.

Ideology: All things are one, which will reap and suffer as one.

Aspiration: To help mankind to understand nature just a bit more it’s a worthwhile and must-do task.

Mission: To provide convenience for the restoration of the natural forest, by way of educating the public on the importance and necessity of reaping from, and giving to, natural forest.

Vision: Human and nature coexist, with mutual support, for longevity.
